The Acronym Book Tag! *ORIGINAL*

Hello everyone! Today, I'll be sharing with you the original book tag I thought of! In the acronym book tag, you take a texting acronym (lol, gtg, etc.) and I put a question that goes along with it. Well, here it is!

1. LOL (laugh out loud): A BOOK THAT MADE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD

I don't know how I couldn't say Hyperbole and a Half for this question. I was practically in hysterics from how much I laughed! This is definitely a book that I would highly, HIGHLY recommend.

2. GTG (got to go): A BOOK YOU SHAMELESSLY DNF'D

*puts hands up in defense* DON'T HATE ME PLEASE. I JUST KINDA SORTA FREAKING DESPISED THIS WHILE I WAS READING IT SO I PUT IT DOWN WITH ALL INTENTIONS OF PICKING IT BACK UP AGAIN AND I NEVER DID. And I'm pretty happy I never picked it back up because I just hated it so much.

3. SMH (shaking my head): A CHARACTER THAT MADE TERRIBLE DECISIONS

Holy crap, Scarlett made SO MANY BAD DECISIONS AND IT WAS SO FUCKING ANNOYING. *sighs, trying not to look annoyed, but utterly failing* If I were to list them all, they would probably be longer than this tag.

4. WTF (what the fuck): A BOOK WITH A PLOT TWIST YOU LOVED (warn for spoilers)

I would go into spoilers for A Gathering of Shadows, but I'm not really sure how I would hide it, and I don't want ANYONE to get spoiled. Just know that there is a small plot twist between two characters in here that I absolutely adored.

5. PIR (parent in room): A BOOK YOU'RE UNCOMFORTABLE TO READ IN PUBLIC

Now, I REALLY want to read this book, but... THE COVER. EW. IT'S JUST SO UGLY. I've heard nothing but amazing things about this series, so I definitely want to get to it, but it just has such a terrible cover.

6. TMI (too much information) A BOOK WITH TOO MUCH INFO-DUMPING

And for this, I actually don't have one. I thought for almost ten minutes straight trying to think of a book for this question, and I just couldn't. I think it might be because I don't read high fantasy very much, but I'm going to have to skip this one.

7. BFF (best friends forever) A CHARACTER YOU WANT TO BE BEST FRIENDS WITH

LUNA LOVEGOOD! There are definitely some others that I'd like to be best friends with, but... LUNA. She's just so great. Need I say more?

8. IRL (in real life) A FANTASY WORLD YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF

This one is SUPER OBVIOUS, but... Harry Potter. Seriously, nothing beats this fantasy world. I don't see how I couldn't pick Harry Potter for this question, and when you guys do this tag, I'm guessing most of you will also choose it.

9. JK (just kidding) A BOOK YOU THOUGHT YOU'D LOVE BUT HATED OR A BOOK YOU THOUGHT YOU'D HATE BUT LOVED

When I heard about this book, I thought it sounded SO COOL! And then people started reading it, and they all thoroughly enjoyed it! What possibly could go wrong??? Well, for whatever reason, I fucking hated this book. Like I literally did not find a single thing about this that I loved, let alone liked.

10. ASAP (as soon as possible) A SLOW BOOK THAT SHOULD'VE PICKED UP FASTER

Gosh, the first 150 pages or so of this book were soooooooooo slowwwwwwwwww. Practically nothing happened, and I (and everyone else who read this) had to wait about 150 damn pages for it to pick up! In fact, the first 150 pages are the main reason I wasn't a huge fan of this.

And that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed this tag. I'm pretty sure no one has done this before, because I researched quite a bit. I tag all of you who want to do this! Bye!

Most Anticipated: April - May Releases!

Hello everyone! Today, because I don't have enough for separate posts, I will be sharing with you some of my anticipated releases of April and May! WARNING: I know little to nothing about almost all these books.

APRIL

 1. GIVEN TO THE SEA BY MINDY McGINNIS

Like I said, I hardly know anything about this book, so I'll list everything out that I do know (I will do this for all the books on this list):
  • It's by Mindy McGinnis and everyone loves her books but I still haven't read one yet
  • It's Mindy's first fantasy
  • That's literally it
2. THE UPSIDE OF UNREQUITED BY BECKY ALBERTALLI

THINGS I KNOW ABOUT THIS BOOK:
  • Definitely my most anticipated book of April and May, because it's by Becky Albertalli, who wrote Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
  • The sister has a girlfriend! (I don't believe it says if she's lesbian or bi)
  • It deals with unrequited love which is basically my life
3. SPINDLE FIRE BY LEXA HILLYER

THE VERY FEW THINGS I KNOW ABOUT THIS BOOK: (if you can't tell already, I prefer to go into my books blind.)
  • It has a GOR-GEE-US cover
  • It has a blind character yay!!!
  • Pretty sure it's a Sleeping Beauty retelling but honestly I have no idea
4. ALEX, APPROXIMATELY BY JENN BENNET

THINGS I KNOW ABOUT THIS BOOK:
  • It's a YA version of You've Got Mail. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE.
  • I'm pretty sure it's diverse in some way??? But I have no idea how??? I'm not sure ok
  • Yep, that's it. I mean, it has good reviews, but that's all I know.
MAY

1. FLAME IN THE MIST BY RENEE AHDIEH

THINGS I KNOW ABOUT THIS BOOK:
  • It's a Mulan retelling
  • It's by Renee Ahdieh and everyone loves her books (currently reading The Wrath and the Dawn and really enjoying it!)
  • LOOK AT THE COVER. AHHHHHHHHH.
2. THE LOVE INTEREST BY CALE DIETRICH

Y'all this sounds SO FREAKING GOOD OK. So there's two guys, who I believe are supposed to persuade this girl, and it seems like it's just another love triangle. BUT WAIT. THE TWO GUYS FALL FOR EACH OTHER INSTEAD. *squeals*

2. WHEN DIMPLE MET RISHI BY SANDHYA MENON

This book has been ALL OVER the internet ever since the synopsis came out, so I'm guessing you already know what this is about because damn. It's everywhere. BUT, if you don't know what it's about, here's the Goodreads link.

Well, that's it for now! I know a lot more people have a bunch of anticipated releases for May because of books like A Court of Wings and Ruin and Lord of Shadows, but I'm not a fan of either of those series. I hope you enjoyed this post! Bye!

Favorite Books of the Year So Far!

Hello everyone! Just so you know, later in the year, I plan on doing a "Favorite Books of the Year" list, but also, every 3 months I will be doing a list of my favorites in those 3 months. At the end of the year, where I share my favorite books of the entire year, some of these might repeat because THEY'RE JUST SO GOOD. Anyways, here's some awesome books I've read this year (in no particular order):

1. A LIST OF CAGES BY ROBIN ROE

Holy crap, I loved this book so much. The thing about it is that it got a TON of hype in the book community when it first came out, but now no one really ever talks about it. AND PEOPLE SHOULD, because this book is freaking amazing (by the way, I won't really be telling what these books are about). I really adored that it focused on friendship, not romance. And I also adored everything else about this (y'all can tell this will be on my favorites of the year list, can't you).

2. A MONSTER CALLS BY PATRICK NESS

Oh don't mind me over there, that little punctured ball of feels in the corner.

3. THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR BY NICOLA YOON

Yes, I get it - this is FULL of insta-love. BUT I DON'T CARE BECAUSE I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK, OK. And I loved it way, way more than Everything, Everything. I enjoyed everything about this: from the plot, to the characters, to the writing style, and everything in between.

4. THE SHADES OF MAGIC SERIES BY V.E. SCHWAB

Last month, I reread ADSOM, and just recently I finished AGOS and loved it even more. Now, I still haven't read ACOL yet... *hangs head in shame* but from what I've heard I'm going to have to PREPARE MYSELF.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli - I would count this as an actual favorite, but I reread it this year; I originally read it in 2016. I'm guessing all of you have read or at least heard of this book so I won't explain what it's about, and if you don't know what it's about, here's the Goodreads page.

El Deafo by Cece Bell - I just finished this two nights ago and read it in one sitting. It was so great! It's a graphic memoir on Cece Bell's life, growing up deaf.

George by Alex Gino - Gosh my love for this book. Later I might edit this post and change it to a favorite and not just an honorable mention. I feel like this is a book where it's better when you go in blind, so an extremely vague synopsis would be: it's about a trans girl named George and IT'S A MIDDLE GRADE. *squeals*

Well, that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed this. Bye!

The Disney Fairies Book Tag!

Hello everyone! Today, I will be doing a tag that was just recently created: the Disney Fairies Book Tag! This was created by Leo over at Velleochor. Here's the original tag!

1. TINKERBELL: AN ADVENTUROUS BOOK/SERIES THAT YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF.

Honestly, I don't see how I couldn't go with this for an answer. I still haven't read the third book (I know, I know. SHAME.), but from book 1 and 2, their adventure is SO GREAT!

2. FAWN: A BOOK CHARACTER WHOSE HUMOR YOU LOVE.

I hate to go back to the Shades of Magic series again, but Rhy. RHYYYY. I just love him so much.

3. IRIDESSA: A BOOK/SERIES THAT YOU'RE NERVOUS/SCARED TO READ.

YES. I STILL HAVEN'T READ THIS YET. I KNOW. THE SHAME. I should've read it already. But now I'm scared to read it, because THERE IS JUST SO MUCH DAMN HYPE AROUND IT. I literally have not heard a single bad thing about this series.

4. SILVERMIST: A FEMALE BOOK CHARACTER WHO IS MORE THAN WHAT SHE LOOKS.

For this, I can't not go with Tina, or Tiny Girl, from City of Saints and Thieves. Her code-name is literally Tiny Girl, because that's what she is. BUT WAIT. She is actually one of the most bad-ass characters I have ever read about. She's a freaking SPY/THIEF/JUST OVER ALL BAD-ASS.

4. ROSETTA: A BOOK/SERIES THAT BLOSSOMED SOMETHING INSIDE YOU AND CHANGED YOUR LIFE.

I know, I know - EVERYONE WOULD GO WITH HARRY POTTER FOR THIS QUESTION. But really, this series made me fall in love with reading. Not only that, but it got me to want to be a writer.

5. VIDIA: A BOOK/SERIES WITH A BITCHY/ANNOYING MAIN CHARACTER, BUT YOU STILL LOVE.

And for this, I... don't have anything. I'm going to have to skip this question, because there is not a single annoying main character that I like. I HATE THEM ALL. GET THEM AWAY FROM ME.

6. TERENCE: A MALE BOOK CHARACTER YOU THINK IS CAPABLE OF HELPING YOU THROUGH HARD TIMES.

ALBUS DUMBLEDORE. I hate that I have to do the same thing Leo did, but seriously. He's freaking Dumbledore!

7. QUEEN CLARION: A BOOK CHARACTER WHO YOU WANT AS A MOTHER/FATHER.

For this, I didn't want to go back to the Shades of Magic series again, so I went with Ezra Mason. I mean, just imagine him telling dad jokes. HE WOULD TELL THE FINEST OF DAD JOKES.

And that's it for now! Leo said he tags everyone, so I'm going to say he tagged me. Because I'm pretty new to blogging, I'll just say this: if you want to do this tag, I TAG YOU. I hope you enjoyed. Bye!

10 (I Know it's Supposed to be 25 but That's too Hard OK) Bookish Facts About Me!

Hello everyone! Today, as you can tell by the title, I will be doing the 10 BOOKISH FACTS ABOUT ME tag! I see a lot of people, whether they be booktubers or bloggers, do this tag when they first start out, so I decided to do that today. Also, I'll try not to ramble as much as possible, but we'll see how that goes.

1. HARDCOVERS OVER PAPERBACKS, 98% OF THE TIME.

Not only do hardcovers look SO MUCH PRETTIER and can stay in good condition for a longer time, but at least for me, I can read them a lot more easily. The other 2% of the time when I will purposely buy a paperback is when I have to go on a plane, or when I really really really NEED a book but I can't afford it in hardcover.

2. DUST JACKETS OFF OF HARDCOVERS WHILE READING THEM.

Well, first of all, I don't want to ruin them because they're almost always DOWNRIGHT GORGEOUS, and also, they just bother me while I'm reading them. OR the book has a TERRIBLE cover and I don't want people seeing me with it (kind of a bad reason, but still).

3.  I AM AN EXTREMELY SLOW READER.

I don't know what it is, I'm just a slow reader. If I can read 5 books in a month, that'd be AMAZING.

4. I JUDGE BOOKS BY THEIR COVERS ALL THE TIME.

I mean, first off, I don't get why people say "don't judge a book by its cover" because if ya didn't know, THE WHOLE POINT OF A COVER IS TO ATTRACT YOU. OF COURSE YOU JUDGE IT. okay i'm getting too over reactive about this.

5.  I HATE WHEN I HAVE TO PUT A DISCLAIMER.

Gosh, I hate when I do something like the unpopular opinions book tag and have to put a disclaimer so people don't hate me. IT'S JUST MY OPINION. AHHHHHH.

6. I BUY BOOKS I ALREADY OWN.

Sometimes, I see a COLLECTOR'S FREAKING EDITION of one of my favorite books and I just NEED to have it, for example. Like Tor just announced that in October there will be a collector's edition of A Darker Shade of Magic coming out with an exclusive short story and fan art AND IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL BLACK COVER. I WOULD SHOW IT HERE BUT IT WAS LITERALLY ANNOUNCED TODAY (March 24th).

7. I BUY BOOKS WAYYYY FASTER THAN I READ THEM.

Gah, I WISH I DIDN'T DO THIS. Seriously, I buy so many books, and I don't read them nearly as fast. AND SOMETIMES I GET BOOKS FROM THE LIBRARY EVEN WHEN I HAVE LIKE 100 BOOKS THAT I OWN THAT I ALSO HAVEN'T READ YET.

8. I AM THE WORST AT READING SUPER HYPED BOOKS.

*cries* WHY DO I DO THIS. Here are but a few super hyped books that I have yet to read:
  • The last three books of the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
  • An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
  • The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
  • The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (but I just got it from the library so yay)
  • Everything by  V.E./Victoria Schwab other than the Shades of Magic series
  • AND SO MUCH MORE.
9. I BREAK INTO A SWEAT WHEN I'M ASKED MY FAVORITE BOOK.

I'm sure y'all can relate to this. JUST ONE??? WHAT???

10. I AM TERRIBLE AT THINKING OF THINGS FOR THIS LIST.

Well, there's not much to say for this one - I'm so bad at it I had to use this for my last fact, and originally it's supposed to be 25, not 10. I'm just that bad at it.

And that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed this post. Bye!

Spring and Summer Book Recommendations!

Hello everyone! I know I haven't posted in almost a week, and that's because I HAVE BEEN A SMALL BALL OF NO IDEAS FOR POSTS. I still can't think of much, so I decided to do a recommendations post.

Normally, in fall, I read historical fiction and maybe horror around Halloween. In winter, I typically read fantasy; in spring and summer, I usually read contemporary. I'm not sure why that is, but for this post I'll be showing you a lot of cute contemporaries.

1. TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE BY JENNY HAN

You've probably read or at least heard of this book before, and it's most likely going to be like that for all these books, but, nevertheless, this is still one of the CUTEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ. If you don't know what this is about, it follows a girl, and whenever she has a crush she writes a fake letter to them to help her get over them. But then one day, they somehow get mailed out, and chaos ensues from there. Again, this book is ADORABLE, and on May second, the third book in the trilogy comes out!

2. BASICALLY ANYTHING BY RAINBOW ROWELL

GUYS. If you haven't read anything by Rainbow Rowell yet, WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING WITH YOUR LIFE. I put Fangirl as the picture because out of all her books I've read so far (FangirlEleanor & ParkAttachmentsCarry On, and, if you count it as a book, Kindred Spirits), Fangirl was my favorite. I'm guessing all of you know about her books, and if not, you can click on the Goodreads link to all the books in this list.

I recently reread this because I loved it SO MUCH that I needed to read it again. I have it as 4.5 stars right now, but I might actually change it to a solid 5 stars because I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. Also, Becky Albertalli has her second book coming out on April eleventh, The Upside of Unrequited, which I will be reading AS SOON AS I CAN GET A COPY. Anyways, if you don't know what this book is about, it's all about this boy in high school, Simon, who knows he's gay, but hasn't come out yet. There's a lot more to the plot than that, but personally I feel like this is one of those books that you should go into kind of blind.

This is probably the best book I've ever read that doesn't get enough hype. I've seen a few people talk about it, but NOT ENOUGH. So, this book follows a ten-year-old kid named August, or Auggie. He was born with some kind of facial deformity (not sure what, I haven't read this in a little while), and all his life he's been home-schooled because of how often he has to get surgery. But, now he doesn't have to have surgeries nearly as often, and Auggie has to go to an actual school, and this is basically just all the things he faces throughout that. Also: IT HAS BEAUTIFULLY SHORT CHAPTERS. THE BEST KIND OF CHAPTER. Another thing: I would recommend this for any season of the year because I just love it so much, but especially for spring and summer because it just made me so happy while I was reading it (mostly toward the end, because the middle is kind of sad).

And that's it for now! I only have four for this but to be honest I would just keep listing out adorable contemporaries, and I had quite a bit to say for most of these books as well. Anyways, bye everyone!

Most Anticipated: March 2017 Releases!

Hello everyone! At the time I'm typing this - March twelfth - some of these books on this list have already come out, but I'm going to count them anyways. So, let's just get right on into it!

Ever since Lazlo Strange was five years old, he's been obsessed with the lost city of Weep, but it would take someone a lot more brave than him to go half the world to find it. Honestly, I don't really know much at all about this book, and that's all I've got right now.

When Julia is expelled from her school, the Kingston School for the Deaf for graffiti-ing a wall on the school, she's forced to go to a "mainstream" school, where she's treated like an outcast. So far, I've heard NOTHING but great things about this book, and I'm pretty sure it's Own Voices as well, but don't quote me on that.

Honestly, all I know about this is that it's a Beauty and the Beast retelling, and that's it, but I'm still super excited to read it.

Again, I don't know much about this book either, but I'll tell you what I do know about it: so, Carver is driving his friends with him, and he texts someone while he's doing that, and they get in a car crash. Carver is the only one who survived, and he realizes that he killed three people (his friends too) all because he was on his phone.

Wow, I'm really starting to realize how often I go into books without knowing hardly anything, or anything at all about it. I'll do my best: so, I'm pretty sure Frances is a huge fan of a podcast and makes fan art for it. The creator of it stays anonymous, and one day he reaches out to her email about her fan art that he saw on Tumblr, and I believe they develop a relationship... Honestly I dunno.

And that's it for now, I hope you enjoyed! Seriously I would go on but there are so many JUST IN MARCH. I plan on doing one of these every month there's at least three new releases I'm excited for. Bye!

(literally the last person of ever to do this but whatever) The Unpopular Opinions Book Tag!

Hello everyone! Today, I'll be doing the unpopular opinions book tag! This tag went around the book community a year or maybe even more ago, but I really want to do it anyway.

QUESTION #1: A POPULAR BOOK OR SERIES YOU DIDN'T LIKE.

Yep... I hated Throne of Glass. Oh god, it feels weird to actually put that out there, because... EVERYONE FREAKING LOVES THIS SERIES, so I decided to pick it up, and it was just not for me.
I couldn't decide which one of these to put here for an answer, so I put two. The other one, Ender's Game, is by Orson Scott Card, so I was skeptical going into it, and I just feel like a lot of Card's thoughts reflected onto this book.

QUESTION #2: A POPULAR BOOK OR SERIES EVERYONE SEEMS TO HATE, BUT YOU LOVE.

Now, I know a LOT of people love this book - but I've also heard a ton of negative things about this book as well, and I couldn't really think of anything else to go for this question. Honestly I absolutely adored this book so when I heard/read some not-so-great reviews of it I was kind of shocked.

QUESTION #3: A LOVE TRIANGLE WHERE THE MC ENDS UP WITH THE PERSON YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO END UP WITH OR AN OTP YOU DON'T LIKE.

(spoilers for Legend by Marie Lu ahead)

I really don't think that June and Day should've gotten together. Honestly, I probably would've enjoyed this more if there wasn't a romance element between the two of them.

QUESTION #4: A POPULAR BOOK GENRE YOU RARELY REACH FOR.

For me, that's DEFINITELY going to have to be paranormal. I hardly ever pick up something from the genre, and when I do I almost always don't like it very much. Of course, there are some exceptions - but for the most part, I'm not the biggest fan of paranormal.

QUESTION #5:  A POPULAR BELOVED CHARACTER THAT YOU DON'T LIKE.

Well, for the most part, I usually love all the characters that everyone else loves, and I couldn't think of anything else to do for this, so I'm going to have to repeat - THRONE OF GLASS. I hated literally all of the characters in that book.

QUESTION #6: A POPULAR AUTHOR YOU CAN'T SEEM TO GET INTO.

Oh god... this feels weird actually saying this because it's that much of an unpopular opinion, but... Cassandra Clare. *Puts hands out in defense* I'm sorry. I just couldn't get into it. I probably should've read her books in, like, 2011, because  I would've enjoyed them so much more. But I tried to read her books in 2015 or 2016, and I just found them to be kind of cringey.

QUESTION #7: A POPULAR TROPE YOU'RE TIRED OF SEEING.

I could probably do an entire post on this, but I'll choose JUST ONE: when a main character girl describes her features, and then calls herself "ugly" or "lanky" or something like that. Like, "I look in the mirror, and can't find a single pore. My long, luscious, fiery red hair falls to my waist. My lips are the perfectly plump and the best shade. God, I'm so ugly." UGH I'M SICK OF IT.

QUESTION #8: A POPULAR BOOK OR SERIES YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN READING.

Again, I could probably do an entire post on this, because there are a LOT. I'll name three:

  • Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
  • Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
  • Anything by John Corey Whaley
QUESTION #9: WHAT MOVIE DO YOU PREFER OVER THE BOOK?

And for this, I'm going to have to go with...

*sighs* the first almost HALF of this book was SO BORING AND SLOW. But, in the movie, they were able to cut out a lot of that, so I ended up enjoying it quite a bit more.

And that's it for now! I really hope you don't kill me. IT'S JUST MY OPINION OKAY. Bye!

3 of My Dream Book-to-Movie Adaptations!

Hello everyone! Today, unlike yesterday's post, I'll be doing something a lot more casual, as you can tell by the title: some book-to-movie adaptations I wish would happen! There's not much more else to say, so let's just get right on into it!

1. SIX OF CROWS BY LEIGH BARDUGO. [goodreads]

Honestly, I have no idea why this hasn't been optioned for a movie yet. It would make such an amazing one! It's just so full of action, and it really felt like an actual movie while I was reading it, which I'm sure a lot of you can agree on.

2. A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC BY V.E. SCHWAB [goodreads]

This could do so freaking well if it were adapted to the big screen. In fact, I have heard some rumors about this actually becoming a movie ... but it's not official, at least not yet. Anyways, I just think this would translate super well as a movie, and I'm honestly wondering why it hasn't even been optioned until now.

3. PASSENGER BY ALEXANDRA BRACKEN. [goodreads]

Now, I wasn't the BIGGEST fan of this book, but the main reason why is because it was so. Freaking. Slow. Paced. In the beginning, and a movie version of this would make it a LOT less boring in the first part of it, and then we could get into the actual EPIC TIME TRAVEL SCAVENGER HUNT STUFF later.

And that's it for now! I hope I'm not that one person that actually noticed how BEAUTIFUL ALL THE COVERS OF THESE BOOKS ARE. Bye everyone!

Discussion | Sex in YA

Hello everyone! I know that quite a few people have already done one of these, but I really just wanted to put my opinion on this out there: sex in YA.

And, for me personally, as a demisexual person, I don't think it's a bad thing to not have sex in a YA book, because I think it's important to acknowledge that sex exists and it's not a bad thing to have it. I just feel REALLY uncomfortable when I read it, especially when it's explicit.

Again, I think that especially in a book for young adults, it's important to bring it up, because newsflash, pretty much every YA book ever: SEX EXISTS.

So, as much as I really love when a YA book brings up sex/shows sex scenes, at the same time, I feel extremely uncomfortable reading it, because like I mentioned earlier, I am demisexual. So I'm really not quite sure where I stand on the "Sex in YA? Yes or no?" thing that seems to be all over the book community.

Well, for now I'm going to say that while I do it's super important to have sex or at least mention it in a YA book, I most likely won't end up reading that, because like I mentioned earlier I feel very uncomfortable when I read sex scenes.

And that's it for now! I hope you enjoyed this discussion, even though it's kind of weird to just have a random discussion for my first blog post, so maybe tomorrow I'll post something more casual. Bye!
